Is there a particular type of CBD that you use? Or is it just something chewable?
I had a nerve blocker that accidentally went into, and damage my central nerve system. Lower back pain 24:7 but worse st night.

Hi, as an RN of twenty years, I’ve tried it for my fibromyalgia and chronic pain. It works. I just don’t care for the way it makes me feel, personally. But everyone is different and I always encourage advocating for yourself and experimenting to figure out what’s gonna work best for you and your pain. Best of luck.

That’s the hard part for me, too. I get some relief but I hate the feeling of being high and not having control.

Good morning @gina54, May I add my heartfelt welcome to connect, Thank you for posting about your cannabis usage. I am glad it helps you deal with chronic pain. Would you entertain and consider giving up the smoking, It is not a delivery without health risks. How about a dropper of the same dosage,
May yiou be safe and protected from inner and outer harm,
Chris

If available in your state the gummies are available instead of smoking. For myself I have to drive across state lines but not to far.

Please excuse me for jumping into the middle of this conversation. I’m considering trying to use CBD for my chronic head pain. Problem I have is I don’t know where to start, where do I purchase this so I know it’s coming from a reputable place and is not a fake? How much to I use to start with? A few years my Mayo doctor thought it would be a good plan for me, that’s all the information I got from them.
Thanks to everyone for your information and suggestions.
Bonnie

Bonnie, I have been using Wyld gummies for years(wyldcanna.com ) which I buy in Colorado when I visit my grandchildren) . Many brands just don't work for me,but these do. Indica in the evening and night and Sativa in the morning, for energy as well as pain). It distracts me from the pain and helps keep me positive which is almost as important for me as pain relief. We all know how draining constant pain can be.
Good luck to you!

Many years ago, I was put on Vicodin for chronic pain. I know why people get addicted and I know why opioids have a bad name. For me that stuff was terrible. I was put on a couple other things that also were addictive feeling. Finally, I was put on the Percocet And that worked 100% for me. I would break up the pills into quarters. I found the lowest dose that knocked out the pain. As 2025 years have gone by I’ve only gone from a quarter pill to a half a pill. I have gone from two quarter pills pills to 3 half pills each day to manage my pain as my degenerative condition has gotten worse over the years. I also use a variety of topicals. Once in a great while, THC is the answer, I don’t like that feeling of being high or out of control, but it does relax my entire body when it feels like I’m nothing more than a bag of bones. At night. It has been particularly cold where I live here in San Diego and the dramatic change between dry to damp really does me in. The key is finding the right medication’s and taking the lowest dose possible, exercising to keep your strength, self massage, a diet, low and sugar, and a good team of doctors around you who support an aging body and its problems.

Here's the REAL SKINNY:

I live in Florida and I chew a gummy with 10 mg of THC whenever I get severe pain from my back surgery or PA. Once I received my medical card for THC (easy in FL) there about 100 dispensaries around (also easy) and they will/should give you information on dosage, different typse of usage, etc. I don't believe that the THC actually relives the pain, but you forget the pain and don't care. 10 mg should keep you happy for about 5-8 hours, but you will be be pretty stoned if that's an issue. I usually only take one if I'm not driving, working or talking to someone I need to remember what they said. Questions?

Hi Bonnie,
The enhanced sativa that I use has 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBC.
The enhanced indica has 10 mg of THC, 10mg of CBD and 10mg of CBN.
The enhanced are slightly stronger. Other edibles simply don't work for me. I have tried many. The Wyld brand does. I eat them several times a week. I hope this helps.
