Hello,
This was an intentional spraying ordered by a crazy manager. Without going into all of that history. What you want to know when considering any building, and the management company too is: ask to see the MSDA sheets from the pesticide company they use, where and how often they spray. It certainly is within your legal right to hand the management company a no pesticide letter, and if you are purchasing you might be able to write and stipulate that you do not want the building to have a key to your condo. they will probably have rules about the key issue. I had a no key and no pesticide letter ...this was due to one person having too much control, and no oversight. You can also meet with the board and show them evidence or other solutions that provide the same remedy as some forever chemical that are being use. I hope this helps you. You can reach me again, if you need more help.

@urbanjane thank you - it’s something I would not have thought about asking! My husband and I are debating about moving to a condo apartment so should we decide, I will make sure to put that clause into the Purchase Agreement!

What kind of pesticide was used for your apartment? Was the whole building stayed, or just your unit?
