Ulcers - Stomach Cancer - Or Constipation-Backed up?

I am 33 years old I eat very poorly and I take a medication that makes me constipated. Over the 6 years being on the medication I have learned to deal with my constipation and through trials and tribulations I am regular everyday for about over a year. Sometime, about once or twice a month I will go 36- 48 hours period without pooping; after which I poop a little more or whatever.

The past 8 months I have had very troubling burning and stinging pain in my stomach. A burning/stinging pain right above my bellybutton and below my rib cage. (Right side of my stomach) It started one morning when I took my medication on an empty stomach. and then anytime I ate anything spicy or acidic afterwards it would sting and burn in that same spot. I started to get heartburn in the coming days and weeks. I was very fatigued all the time. I started to leave work early..

I started taking tums and drinking water and eating healthy and making sure I had a full stomach b4 taking my medication. It got better for about 2 weeks after that and came back even worse. .

So I'm eating healthy and still regular, but Now it burns whenever I eat anything or even drink water. Its a constant dull aching pain and when I consume anything it burns and stings in two places now ( not one). My liver is now aching and tingling, I'm bloated, and always VERY tired..

I went to the doctor and got a Hpylori poop test and blood test and eventually got a CT scan with contrast from my doctor.

The doctor said the pain is LIKEY DUE TO CONSTIPATION!
I am freaking out because I'm 95% he's wrong! I poop every morning! and I have all the symptoms of an ulcer! My mother died from stomach cancer so this is very concerning for me. Ive been prescribed OMEPRAZOLE and Magnesium Citrate Soln Lemon.

Now I know that he may be right. Especially if he saw my CT scan and prescribed me this laxative after they saw my ct scan but I seriously want to cry because there's no way that's the issue here.. I feel like the doctor is just guessing..

Does anyone have ANY similar experience? or advice? or just anything at this point I am so scared and feel lost.

I had discomfort and pain under my left ribs.....CT scan revealed an umbilical hernia and a hiatal hernia very small. Everything else normal....so after finding nothing, the diagnosis was IBS and acid reflux. So I watch what I eat and it has improved.....still comes and goes

Hi,
Yes I have had this for some time, the best people to deal with are Gastrologists to get to the bottom of it all.
It is possible to pass a bowel motion and not totally evacuate the bowel, this is flow pass and can happen with constipation leaving the restriction in place. Omeprazole can also heap more constipation on you, take the laxative and any food you know can also keep the bowel moving. For me it is canned peaches and bran and a few other foods I have found help.
There are several things that can cause the symptoms, it can be a long hard road to find the cause and can take specialists to make the determination.
Keep pressing for answers from your Dr's.
Cheers

Hello, The symptoms you described are absolutely H-Pylori as I had it bad and couldn't leave my house at all when I had it and had burning sensation in my stomach area etc. I recommend you see a GI specialist that will actually take the time to talk and listen to you because that's definitely not constipation.
