Why are we not hearing about some Research Group concentrating on finding help for neuropathy Cases ? Is anyone working on it? Nobody seems to be able to find the real cause and what Treatment is necessary to help people overcome the dire suffering it causes. Mind you there are many , many, people making money out of selling creams to rub on or tablets to take and all kinds of supposed treatments. Why can't research of a serious nature be undertaken. It is NOT a minor problem. It is a serious, crippling problem which needs REAL attention. If it is because it is unaffordable, we have our priorities wrong don't we ? Let us see some real leadership from the people we appoint to point us in the right direction.

I understand the frustration. It is not in the headlines or even understood by the general public and often doctors, but work is happening:
• The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy: Foundationforpn.org
• Peripheral Neuropathy Society:
pnsociety.com
• Western Neuropathy Association
pnhelp.org

You brought up some interesting points. You are right about real attention. We have famous people with PN who I guess prefer to keep it on the quiet side. Perhaps the medical community and major pharmaceutical companies concentrate on things that might help prevent death and in the past decades, we've seen a variety of those diseases including, most recently, Covid 19. Research is done to produce the best return on the dollar and what insurance companies will be willing to cover for those who need a med. That's business. Is PN within their sights?
