Hi, @mir123

What was it like being in the darkness of early January in Iceland? I've never experienced it and can't even imagine what it would be like.
During the total eclipse of the sun last year, I was in the path of totality, and experiencing darkness in the middle of the day was eerie. But totality only lasted a few minutes. What was it like to go through a day, or days, of total darkness? I might want to go back and experience that.

I think you'd be intrigued the experience. Not totally dark of course--stars etc. and with luck the northern lights. And by January there were a few hours of dusk each day. Icelanders I knew tended to go stir crazy and pop off to Spain for a week! But they also encouraged me to visit in winter--a dreamy introverted time for me--although it was ordinary life too with folks just going to work in the dark.
How great that you saw the eclipse! I've chased two in recent years and find it magical.
