Game Day + 1
I am happy and sad to report that I got my first post op erection the day, less than 24 hours, after surgery. I’m sad to report that the catheter is still in and while it was not terribly painful, it was not very comfortable.
One down, one to go, but I’m hopeful all my hard work results in continence as well.
Also, he kept the lymph nodes because they appeared to look healthy.
Also quite gassy, which is not comfortable but a good sign.
Other than learning how to control my bladder differently, and being unbelievably wiped out and exhausted, I may have dodged an entire infantry division of bullets!
So, guys that have yet to go through this: here is some of your first good news! ❤️

Excellent news, Survivor! Now you gotta change your profile pic to one of relief and joy. Also, sounds to me like you’re quite the overachiever with an erection less than 24 hrs after surgery!
So happy for you, my friend. May your continuing recovery continue to go so well and any bumps in the road be slight and short-term.
That is in my plan AFTER the catheter comes out on Tuesday T Minus 6 so I can relay all of it. The idea being that I intend to stick around some here for a while because I succeeded and have a positive story that desperately needs to be shared with those struggling. About to write another interesting helpful post.
Congrats! Things only get better from here!
Oh….?? your surgeon didn’t tell you that the only erections you’ll ever be able to have will REQUIRE a catheter??😂😂😂
Sorry, Bro, but after all you put yourself thru, you deserved that!! Speedy recovery and many unassisted erections!

LOL, I hope not! I think everyone pre-panics in this thing, and I’m quite guilty of it myself. But by the day before I was as calm as a cucumber. I remember my first combat patrol I was like that, pissing myself for a week before but by the day before I finally decoded the secret and was A-OK. So much so I was the first one charging the position.
They did take a couple nerves, but nowhere near half, just enough for a margin from the bulge, so we’ll see. I’ve read of some guys that were erect right away and it went away, never to return, so it’s still on my mind but the fact that I’m young, virile and have almost all my nerves gives me great hope.
In a week I find out if all my hard physical and pelvic floor work takes care of continence issues.
