Bariatric surgery: Are you excited? Nervous? Tips?

I was getting excited and wanted to have the surgery, then I went to one of my doctor appointments and that doctor told me that it would be at least 6 more months before I could do it because of the fact I have a seizure from time to time, not a serious type of seizure, I might be out of it for about 3-4 minutes then I am coming totally out of it. Plus if I am under antithetics it should not happen at all, it makes me so frustrated that I do not even want to go back for my appointments. not sure what to do..

Even though you are frustrated with delay, your provider is looking out for your best interest. I suggest you use the time to continue to make lifestyle changes with diet and exercise so you are in best condition you can be in prior to surgery.

If you have a history of seizures, are you under the care of a neurologist? If so, have you talked to the neurologist about risk of this type of surgery given you current condition?
