Vibration plates anyone using

Posted by laurie16 @laurie16, Dec 1, 2024

Hi
I’m wondering if anyone is using or has any feedback if vibration plates have helped with bone density /growth
I have osteoporosis and osteopenia
I was looking at Life pro

Would you mind sharing which model you purchased. There are so many. I purchased the Marodyne and it didn't work for me. The vibration is very weak.

I invested in the Power Plate Move. Yes, pricey, but I use it everyday and find it to be a great addition to my home gym. I have had a few of my friends who are still very active try it and they are sold. You do need to be careful that it is used properly. I went from being a runner to a cyclist for decades I was not doing enough impact exercise to counter balance the loss of bone through these activities. I just wasn’t informed and now paying the price, but trying to do what I can to give myself the best outcome. I’ve only got this one body, one life.

Conflict of interest since he - Rubin- profits from Marodyne, at 3k , one of the most expensive out thee. His ads claimed prominently a NASA affiliation . Misleading bec they never used or approved his device. His US based sales people are smarmy. There are less expensive machines that you can adjust to the same specs. Not many, but they do exist.

to @persa I agree with you:
it seems to me Rubin's pushing a product that he spent years putting on market and would like compensation for his time and money : from what I have read on this product, and in my opinion, I feel he misrepresents his affiliation or work with NASA and uses that as a sales pitch.
There was a clinical trial done on this product:
Always do your own due diligence and find/review before spending your hard earned monies.

Some on this forum say it has helped, but at the same time, they have done other activities and nutrients as well -- so, how do you prove that Marydone helped improve bone density. These are anecdotal and subjective opinions.
If it makes you feel wonderful - and you can afford it - Great.

Margaret Martin, Sarah Meeks and Dr Janet Rubin (related to
Dr Clinton Rubin) encourage buying the product with enthusiasm.

On the other hand
Dr Lucas takes a more balanced pros and cons conversation on it. There are 3 parts to his discussion online.

Below is Margaret Martin's endorsement.

Thank you@lhankins for the info. I just looked and you are right...pricey. Especially since I paid for Marodyne already. I'll give it some thought but wanted to make sure I purchased the right one this time. Can't put a price on health. I am not as active as you are so I would just probably stand on it. 🙂 Best wishes for you continual health journey!

A simple exercise on the Power Plate is to march in place. No need to do acrobatics😉. Some gyms have them so you could try it before investing. I paid for it over time with no interest; otherwise I couldn’t do it. Best wishes to you as well in your bone health journey! We are all in this together; hopefully pioneering better care for our daughters and granddaughters.

There is a study conducted I found on the website Natural Library of Medicine, entitled: Safety and severity of accelerations delivered from whole body vibration exercise devices to standing adults. They tested three whole body vibration plates, the Marodyne, Power Plate and Vibrafit. It cautions about the risks and that the devices used should conform to ISO-2631 guidelines and exposure limits. I am considering the Marodyne plate. I am unable to post the link as I am a new member.

Its the VT 007. The guy has a lot of info on Amazon and a separate site. His CS is great. At least read his info to understand what you should be looking for. He explains well. It costs 399$. Make sure you get LINEAR vibration. And compare the specs w Marodyne. On one end of range VT matches it but you can increase if that works for you. Plus the guy behind it knows fitness. The Maromen and their ads were so cringey, like car salesmen!

Could you post a link? I searched VT 007 on Amazon and it brought up a whole lot of vibration machines, but no VT 007 that I could find. thanks!
