I am trying to follow my doctors orders with the medication‘s and have been successful doing that and gotten my numbers down really low and as he says superbly! However, the emotional piece is difficult as it was quite a shock. I am researching and reading ahead, everything I can about. Coronary artery disease. I have taken great measures with my assets and put everything in to a trust and a will, and have POA‘s set up for my family. I now have a fiduciary, financial planner, an investment broker, and that stuff is all put in the trust too! I am in the process of clearing out my house. Getting rid of junk. I am always other people other centered And I have always tried to make things easier for everyone else, lol

It sounds like you are doing everything you can. What are you having difficultly dealing with?

Hi, Missey - I am also still in shock but trying to work through it all! My CAC score was around 1887 and I was so surprised and dejected. I have gotten a little past that and am praying the Repatha will help. My father, eldest brother, and next eldest brother, and now I think a younger brother who has mental disabilities all have or had heart issues. For some reason, I didn't thnk as a "woman" I would have it. I am like you trying to get things ready, although without the issue of needing financial planners, darn it! 🙂 I finished 36 visits of cardiac rehab last week. at 3 times a week and a friend gave me a nice treadmill which I have used every day but Sunday since I got it. This is huge for me as I was never athletic. I have been type 1 diabetic for 55 years, had Hashimotos thyroiditis since about 1981 which has now destroyed my thyroid, sleep apnea, etc. so no stranger to illness or doctors. I am just doing the best I can and leaving the rest in God's hand. Anyway wanted to wish you good luck with your health! Nita
