My calcium levels have gone way up on Tymlos. However; I have had a history of low kidney function to begin with. I requested the blood panel for calcium; my doctor didn’t even consider it. Glad to see your doctor is ordering up additional tests to rule out anything else. Tymlos is an effective treatment so I do hope it works out that you can take it, even at a lower dose.

Thank you ! May I ask how high your calcium went up to and if there was anything you needed to do about the high calcium..? I still do not know my calcium number. I peaked at the lab patient portal and saw that I did not have abnormal findings for multiple myeloma or for autoimmune disorder. Phew, so far. So I’m still waiting for all the tests to come back and to hear from my doctor..
Fortunately my doctor already agreed to let me start Tymlos with a mini dose ( maybe 2 clicks, I’m thinking ). He did not seem to know about doing that , but was agreeable. I am grateful for this group, so that I knew it was possible to adjust the dose..
