Circulating Residual DNA

I noticed in some posts people mentioned they hope the circulating DNA from positive Natera test is residual not new occurrence. I was wondering what that means? I have been so scared since my natera came back 1.5 from 0. My surgery was Dec 2021 right at 3 year mark I got positive test. I had a lung scan which radiologist said nodule doc has been following is stable I was releaved, till my lung doctor called me yesterday said he viewed my scans & wants me to come in right away instead of my schedule appointment February 27th. He wanted me to come this week but I have 2 appointments at hospital Monday I asked if I could see him that day too cause it’s a 4 hour round trip for us. I’m really scared the radiologist missed something my doctor sees. Why would he not tell me on phone & want me in right away if nothing wrong? Being in breast is easier to take out lungs are totally different. I pray I don’t have anything in my lungs. My diagnosis in October 2021 was invasive mammary carcinoma with lobular features. I had 2 tumors & 7 lymph nodes removed. The lobular is what I worried the most about. Has anyone heard about ivermectin help cancer patients or used it?

Thanks for asking I had 3 doctors appointments yesterday. I had a scare I was afraid the cancer was in my lung so far so the place they were following in My lung is stable, but it appears I need to have a double mastectomy, But with my situation my allergies & things other than this if I do this it will have to be one at a time I hate to go under twice I don’t even wanna think about having to do this literally scared to death. I had a lumpectomy they removed two tumors and seven lymph nodes, December 2021. Right at the three-year mark here I am again

So glad your lungs are ok! I’m going to have double mastectomy this Thursday. Will share with you my experience. I had a lumpectomy 2 years ago then I found out about my brca2. Dr recommended DMX, but I was so scared to do it. Still scared now, but I’m tired of worrying when it will come back. Praying we both get through the surgeries fine.

You’re so right I feel like a ticking time bomb everyday worrying when the big C is going to rear ugly head then get a call circulating tumor DNA Biopsy Positive in my blood again. Now dr trying to track where it is and if it is the two mass in left breast & one in left lymph node or two mass in right they have been watching in my breast that’s shedding the circulating tumor DNA . So I thought if they take the left breast off first, so they can get the lymph node under my left arm at the same time. I will have you in my thoughts and prayers Thursday that everything goes good and you have the least pain after the surgery and heal quickly. Please let me know how you do. What state do you live in? Are we able to exchange phone number so we can actually talk?

I was wondering how you’re doing I haven’t heard back from you since my last reply. I know you just had surgery I hope everything going well for you?

@mawmaws Thank you for checking up on me. I’m doing better now, but still very tired. The pain just takes all energy out of me. Make sure you insist on nerve blocking! Can’t wait for the drains to be taken out.

Really glad to hear you’re doing better. How many drains do you have in on each side that’s another part I’m really scared and freaking out about. I had dreams back in 1997 and I got a major infection. Long story if we speak on the phone, I’ll tell you the story. I think I sent you my phone number didn’t I? I don’t remember anybody mentioning me getting a nerve block when I had my other surgeries I had surgery on both sides in 1990 and then again in 1997. I had implants put in and removed.
