Anyone else suffering arthritis in their feet? OUCH!

Posted by Bluegrass Gal @cindychesler, Jul 15, 2024

I suffer from arthritis in my feet along with Pes Cavus (really high arches considered a deformity). I have gotten BMAC stem cell therapy which only lasted a few weeks. Steroid shots. Physical therapy. And acupuncture and several rounds of an herb concoction that mixes with water. Additionally I apply ice packs and occasionally heat packs. All give temporary relief. I cannot take Celebrex, Advil or Aleve. I do not have rheumatoid arthritis. Any long term solutions?

Hi, I do New Balance and Saxcony. I also bought the inserts from the Comfort Store to slide into my shoes, to hold the foot bottom supported and flat. Wore them for years. They also have little wedges you can insert in the heel to raise and lower your heels for comfort.
I wasted a lot of money on temporary fixes when all along, it was my hip cushion wearing out that changed my gait and was NOT my feet. Make sure you have seen a podiatrist. I went on two occasions for him to tell me my feet were in great shape!

Thank you so much! It’s good to hear your feet are in good shape. Mine are very arthritic and I also have lost all cushion in both hips. I’m trying to prepare for hip replacement but my Long Covid flares get in the way I have tried the New Balance and liked them for cushioning. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit due to two different shaped and size feet.
Thanks for sharing! Wishing us all well!

please try the Tart Cherry Capsules. I like Zazzee on Amazon $20. Take one or two. I had problems with my feet last winter. I have arthritis in my feet, hands, have had my hips and spine replaced. But it was not the OA as much as the GOUT! Dumb doctors. Because I have so much OA they never looked passed that to the PAIN becaused by high uric acid levels. The Tart Cherry capsules were a miracle after suffering so much for 30 of my 67 years! I finally went on the Allopurinol this month. My doctor had doubts of my need. It was even BETTER! nothing hurts much anymore directly from the OA. Dumb doctors. I would go several times a week. The supplement recommendation I got HERE from this group 4 months ago! I was here for the bone meds and wound up with a true miracle. If your pain is from your feet joints, give it a shot and report back!

I have arthritis in my feet also that wakes me up some times at night. I've been putting peanut oil on my feet every morning before my socks. I read about in a article on natural healing. It's not gone but hasn't woke me up lately.

Hi, I have Plantar Fasciitis and heel spurs. The best shoes I have ever had are Kuru---- they are specifically for people with heel pain and feet pain/toe pain/plantar fasciitis. They aren't sold in stores, so you only buy online. My name is Catherine Witz, so if they ask who referred you to Kuru, tell them me! I have 2 of their tennis shoes and 1 house slipper. The heels are very soft and thick and comfy, like a pillow for your heel. They are pricey, but what I love is that they offer discounted shoes, where people get them and they don't fit, so they send them back and you get them at almost 1/2 off the original price! I have had great luck with that. I normally wear an 8, but Kuru, run small, so I wear a 9 in Kuru's tennis shoes and house slipper. The others shoe I love are New Balance 629, I believe-- it can allow the orthotic to be put in there. The Kuru's can handle my orthotic as well. I also have a Birkenstock house slipper that I have worn too, and it is good too. I get wide and I do much better with wide shoes. The house slipper has an adjustable strap with velcro and it is a slip on. Feels like you are walking on a cloud. They are wonderful shoes. Oh, I did get a winter boot and it is so supportive and it zips up on the side too.
