I have been using statins for about a year and a half, I had back surgery almost 3 years ago and the pain iny back I feel is there a lot and more so after the statins. Have you found a good way to reduce the cholesterol without statins? I was curious about the bergamonte but finding as bad results as good

I have been taking Pitavastatin 1mg for quite a while. So far no side effects but my cardiologist told me that if any side effects started to bother me to the point of discontinuing the statin, there are other meds thatcare not statins but have other side effects such as Gout, kidney issues including urinary retention and stomach problems. I will stay with the statin and see how it works. I am taking it with CoQ10 at night. I am still skeptical to use statins but I have high risk with high LDL, high Lipoprotein A (269) and high cholesterol. Also my parents had heart problems. Sorry that your back pain came back. Stay well.
