I took losartan for 20 years. But I took the brand version. I had a great insurance company. Suddenly they did not pay and I was switched to the generic version. About the third day I wound up on tbe floor passed out. I read many many medical articles and came to the conclusion that tbe generic I took somehow released too much drug into my system too quickly.
I paid for the brand version - a month’s worth (it was very pricey then but is not horrible now) and had no problem at all.
I did switch to a different drug, which took me a long time to figure out to take to keep side effects at bay but get optimal blood pressure control.
Both a friend and my husband had the same problem. I don’t know if it is quality control—
Or what. We pay for the brand version for my husband.
I had an interesting similar issue with zocor - simivastin.
My insurance company pays for that brand version because we were able to demonstrate through pharmacogenomics and careful data recording of lab values (ALT and AST were 5 times upper limit of normal) that my liver cannot handle the generic version.

Try getting your medicines from Canada There quality control seems to be very good My wife had the same problem with generic synthroid Her blood work numbers were all over the place . The doctor insisted she take brand name Synthroid Now all is good
