To happilyalive,
Have your doctors advised a change in diet? I have found a low fat diet to be very helpful.
From Cleveland Clinic:
• Red meats. The saturated fats in red meat can make inflammation worse. Dr. Sapkota suggests eating chicken, fish or beans and legumes instead.
• Dairy products. Like red meat, the saturated fats found in dairy can cause inflammation. Swap out dairy products for plant-based products like soy milk, almond milk or coconut milk.

Hi, Thanks for the post. Yes, I gave up red meat back in 1990 and am on a Renal Diet since I have ckd. I stick very close to my diet restrictions which includes very little protein and extremely small amounts of dairy (1 oz. of cheese or dairy per day). It's amazing what a difference giving up sugar and other foods that aren't the best for us makes a person feel. Inflammation is a very bad thing and beyond any doubt I have much learn to to try and control it. I will enjoy going through the link that you sent and gaining more information. Thank you for it and your wisdom. Have a blessed day.
