Fluoroquinolone toxicity
Did anyone on this forum take cipro levaquin or avelox around the time their neuropathy began. If so, you probably suffered an adverse reaction to the drug. These fluoroquinolone antibiotics are well know for causing bad neuropathies, tendon damage and psychiatric issues. Check your medical records.

Good suggestion. Because I’m allergic to some meds and have a ton of allergies in general, whenever I take a new med I park right outside the emergency room (I guess you could do urgent care too) and I have a note already written out that “I’m having an allergic reaction to x” in case I’m unable to speak. As you know, you don’t have a minute to waste with a severe allergic reaction.
You are absolutely right. The doctor at the urgent care said that it is questionable if I would have made it to the hospital 11 miles from his office. So, it was close. He said that to me after he got my breathing to a normal level. Anyone living alone.....you have the right idea. I never had a reaction like that before and having a wife who worked in the medical field and recognized the problem was possibly a life saver. Every minute does count!! Let's stay safe.
Unfortunately the one thing I did discover, because I am in the same boat as you with all of the side effects, is that you cannot take the manufacturers to court because they have essentially protected themselves by issuing a soft warning on the list of side effects which basically gives them protection after they rush medication's to Market and continue to insist that they are more beneficial than they are harmful without any regard to the patient they are just after the almighty dollar. You might do better trying to go after a Doctor Who was too ignorant to stand corrected when presented with the facts of what these drugs actually do and the damage they can cause. My life has completely been up ended over the last year because of this drug. I already was suffering from a broken back and subsequently ruptured bleeding ulcers from taking too much Advil to combat my physical pain but now I can't do anything...
