I’m proud of you for recognizing this wake-up call to turn your life around. I think most of us have done stupid ‘stuff’ in our teen years and eventually learn from those mistakes. Then, of course, there are people who never get that ah-ha moment and stupidity follows them for a lifetime. Adulting is hard but I think you are going to be great going forward! ☺️

I know you’re scared…I can feel your fear through the computer. I’ve learned over the years that we have 2 things we can control. Attitude and effort. It takes practice to rise above negativity and worst case scenarios. Try to change your thought process from the negative ‘what ifs’. I swear that can drive a person batty. We can what “if this, what if that”, until we no longer know fact from fiction because those thoughts just multiple and take up space in our brains! So try to think positively, like what if everything turns out fine??
I just had a thought that might be helpful in calming your anxiety over the fear of the unknown. There are 22 calming techniques in this article. Read through and see if there might be some that maybe change your focus and bring a sense of peace until you can get in for a checkup.
