I can only speak from personal experience. My fungal cultures are resulted in about a week and have shown apergillus pretty consistently while I had MAC. I asked my ID doctors (one local, one at NJH) if they would treat it and both said no. I finished my MAC antibiotic treatment last June and at this time negative for both MAC and aspergillus. Fingers crossed!
