I received Flu vaccine and Covid vaccine 11/13/24 at Walgreens in Faribault. Within days I started feeling some pain. My neck ached. It became hard to turn over in bed. Eventually pain became mainly localized in both shoulders and both hips. I have been so pro-vaccination that I did not suspect vaccination at all. I felt like my body was being attacked by something. I first suspected Lymes disease and I tested positive, but Doctors said it was something historical and not an active case. After 2 weeks they decided to treat me with 21 days of antibiotics for Lymes anyways. It did not help at all. I switched to Mayo and they told me I possibly had PMR. I was treated with a "test pack" of prednisone. 6 pills first day, then 5, 4,3,2,1. My pain went away almost immediately. I have never had such an effect from a medication. In the last day of the prednisone, I could feel a little pain coming back into my shoulders. After 40 hours of no prednisone I was in more pain than ever. Luckily I had an appointment with Dr. Mason, a Rheumatologist at Mayo, and he indicated that my reaction to having the predinsone and then the quick return of symptoms when it was gone, was a pretty good confirmation that I had PMR. During all my treatment over a period of almost 3 months no one even asked me about the vaccination. It was only after doing some online reading and seeing that there could be a relation between a flu vaccine and the onset of PMR did I remember that I had been vaccinated. I fully believe that the onset of PMR was because of the vaccine. I would like to try and prove it before the VICP federal court because I want to be compensated for the possible permanent damage that has been done to my body and for the excruciating pain that I suffered for almost 10 weeks while several doctors tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Although PMR is not that common, its symptoms are so unique - it should immediately raise alarms bells in the medical profession - sudden onset of acute pain in both shoulders and both hips as well as other more peripheral areas ( I had pain in big knuckles both hands, wrists, arms and legs). And the Docs damn well better suspect vaccine as a cause.

Best Regards

Jim Gould

I went to my PCP with some PMR muscle aches in the usual areas, however I didn't know anything about PMR. No mention of PMR was given at the time by the PCP. The PCP wanted me to get a flu shot since I had a near future travel plan. I hesitated since I react strongly to vaccines. I was told that the flu vaccine never gives reactions. Well, it did to me. I became ill the day after with flu symptoms and my unknown PMR pains flared up. I don't believe the mdical group will own up to any relationship between PMR and the vaccine. There is just too much money to be made for the drug companies and they rule!

I had a similar experience following my second COVID Pfizer vaccination, as many others have reported on this forum. Be sure to report your reaction to this government site: https://vaers.hhs.gov/reportevent.html
