I have to say I am totally shocked by all the people who suffer the same as I. Chronic pain,no relief, none of the opiods do anything except maybe take the edge off, physical therapy, nothing, injections nothing. I could go on and on,but you all know. 6 back operations,3 of them fusions! Does anyone know of someone who has had a successful surgery? Or success with any medication? My doctor is a DO and keeps pushing physical therapy. I can not stand for more than 5 minutes. I can only walk a very short walk, and then my legs feel like jelly. It seems like most of us are in this same boat, headed out to sea! Oh and I can only sit in a very comfortable chair without having to get up and walk around after a little while.Fellow chronic pain patients, where is our miracle??

I hear you! We could be the same person with so many pain similarities. My biggest gripe is seeing so many docs and they all follow the same script. Scan records for ten seconds, ask you a couple of questions, give you a script for a new med, then make new appointment for next month. Seven to ten minutes and "Here's your hat, what's your hurry". I would really like to find a doctor here in our new town who would really take the time to look deeply into my pain.

My fusion surgery did nothing to my pain. Injections gave very short term relief. Meds helped for a couple of years, then stopped. Spinal cord stimulator helped quite a bit for about two years until it sudden just stopped. Now the docs look and see "neuropathy" and start the usual spiel: "Oh, you have neuropathy, There's no cure". I know that! I'm looking for some help in getting a little relief.

Anyway, Let's hope that the medical community will come up with some breakthrough therapy that will finally give all of us some hope. Have you looked into Scrambler therapy? It has given quite a few people relief from neuropathic pain. Check it out.
