I was taking both for severe depression stemming from chronic migraines. No side effects from the Wellbutrin but the Remeron just made my headaches worse. The Abilify-Wellbutrin helped my depression significantly, however this combination caused me to have the shakes bad enough that people thought I had Parkinson’s. The anti-psychotic meds with the SSRI combination seems to help. Been on Seroquel with the Wellbutrin but that seemed to cause Tardive Dyskinesia. The SSRI/anti-psychotic combination seems to help my depression significantly. I think the antipsychotics help a lot but they seem to have worse side effects.

@daveshaw, I’m happy for you that you and your doctor were able to find something else for you to take and it didn’t cause you any problems. Were it possible that everyone could find the right medication so quickly, we would be so much happier in our lives. I have lost count as to how many different medications I tried to take and failed each time due to profound side effects that were worse than the ailment. Every time you try another drug you get messed up by the side effects and then you have to stop them and wait for your system to calm down, then you’re given something else and that doesn’t work so onward you go until you can’t deal with it anymore. Consider yourself very lucky and I hope that things don’t change for you down the road.
