If I’m not mistaken, you have to take NAC for awhile to start seeing the benefits, I don’t remember how long though. I do remember it was talked about the length of time on this forum before, perhaps Sue or scoop would have an answer. They both are VERY knowledgeable about BE.

Furthermore I take liquid Guiafeneson, which is the expectorant in mucinex. Then I drink a 8-10 oz glass of water, wait 15-20 mins. Then nebulize a SABA or LABA followed by 7% saline. You may need a bronchodilator to help loosen up the mucus. You have to get that from your Doctor though. Good luck Irene I hope things work out for you.
