I stopped drinking Coca Cola my freshman year of college. My pancreatic cancer that occurred 36 years later was driven by a germline BRCA2 mutation that is prevalent on the maternal side of the family causing cancer in many of them.

My Brother who is close in age and has consumed a lot of Coca Cola and Diet Coke since childhood and has the BRCA2 mutation as well never developed pancreatic cancer. He remains healthy.
