I wish we knew what to use. My husband has had a urostomy for 5 years. He uses a nite-time drain bag which hangs inside a trash can beside his bed, He has learned how to turn a little on his side without disrupting anything. Most of the time he lies on his back. We have a frame which fits between the mattress and box springs and it keeps the covers from binding his feet. Good luck with finding a solution. Please update us if you do.

For my urostomy night bag, I cut me a 1"x3"x35"length of oak molding. Sanded the end that shows from the out side of the bed. I put a large sturdy hook on the end of it and put it between the mattress and box springs and you can adjust it to go closer to towards your urostomy bag. Let it stick out about 2" from the mattress and box springs. by doing this you don't have to lay it in a trash can. I found a nice clear plastic holder at Target in their office supplies area. Since I have a bad hip and need to move it during the night I have reverted to using my Apple watch and set the alarm for 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 to empty my bag that way I can move around with no restriction. I did make a board for my motor home also. Jackie
