Cancer risks of Tymlos

@mary1951 I have 7 spinal fractures. Recovery is very painful and since I live alone, I felt unable to do laundry, dishes, cook. Some mornings I would roll out of bed (literally, PT taught me that) and crawl on the floor I was in so much pain.

Three months is very early in recovery. It DID get better. I am back to doing tai chi and even teaching it. I still have trouble with lifting much, and slide pots along the counter. Some windows are an issue.

Tymlos brought me from severe to borderline osteoporosis. My bones suffered from cancer treatment and after Tymlos they were better than before cancer.

Do you have a brace? I was told to use it sparingly. I did not have a hard brace, just a neoprene type with velcro. I still use it if I am moving stuff or for pain relief, but not often anymore. Much of the pain is from muscles that are confused by our spinal changes!

@windyshores, You are an amazing soul! I am so sorry that you have been through cancer and fractures! I am glad you are doing so much better and hope you continue improving as well.

Your advice is invaluable and I know many here are grateful you are here to encourage and educate.

Yes, I have been wearing a back brace. Doctor wanted to do Kyphoplasty but I refused because by the time insurance approved it, there would not have been a benefit.

Onwards and upwards!
