Thank you so much for the comforting words. Last night when he finally woke up around midnight, he tried to get out of his recliner and he fell. I was in bed but I heard him and ran out to help him. He weighs next to nothing so I was able to help him up. His sister had bought him this new recliner thinking it would help but he has fallen out if it, tipped it over and went sideways in it with the chair. It is a swivel chair and rocks so when he tries to sit in it, it swivels around. I would never tell her, because she would feel so bad, but it is not a good chair for him. We have two other recliners but he doesn't like them either. When I got up this morning, he had made it into his bedroom. I did like it better when he slept in the chair as I could keep checking on him. I offered him something to eat last night but he said he wasn't hungry. I may be totally off base but I do feel like he is going to die soon. So I pray a lot.

There are really good YouTube videos on end of life, & what happens when people are dying. I found these TED talks very helpful. Sadly, I found them after helping my Dad, & Sister at the end of life. I wish I would have seen them first.
This one in particular will help you, I think:

But all of these are really good:

Heartfelt best wishes to you. Take care of yourself.

Denise,
When my husband died last July he went through a lot of what your husband is going through now. He fell and had no appetite. But remember, it's God who decides when and if a person is going to die. We just wait and pray. I'm so glad that you are praying. Pray with your husband and tell him you love him. It helps both of you.

I understand about the recliner. Some people just can't tolerate them. I'm one of them. I fall out of them also or can't get the foot rest to go down so I have to try and crawl over it which doesn't work! My husband had one that swiveled too. He was fine with it but I could hardly sit in it without almost falling out. We are all different.

I wish you the best and will continue to pray for you and your husband.
