Hello everyone,
I may not need to be on this chat list since all I really need to do is set up an appointment for what MRI is best for me to set up in order to just find out - if I am OK in getting an MRI of my head area. This is in regards for taking necessary steps in being proactive about my overall health as a senior. My full body from the neck down MRI came out ok. But I do have concerns that can be eased by having an MRI for my cerebral area as well. I will be in AZ in March and hope to be able to set up an appointment for an MRI with MAYO.

Have them do a total body PET scan as well. There is also a new MRI test that I know very little about-----it's called t-MRI, that may be good to ask about.

I had many MRI'S of my Brain , neck. Echogram of heart all test needed to see what was causing my strokes in the hemispheres and Celebra. One bleeding area that had stopped in the top of brain. I have Connective tissue disease and that could be the culprit, but no inflammation was seen.. I have had several strokes though. Not overweight, not a diabetic, my cholesterol is slightly high, but not at risk numbers. It's crazy! I do take now a statin for precautions, but only 10mg. I also now have we believe to be PPA that started a little after strokes started. They could cause it to start , but aren't really related to each other. I'm hoping all goes well for you and please get yourself checked out throughly!! I even had 14 bikes of blood work done and a spinal puncture done with Mayo doing the results from that.
