Hello everyone. I do not remember where I discovered the best tip for swallowing pills. It was probably on this wonderful, sharing site. To the person that posted this MIRACLE, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! Please, know your tip is the most wonderful tip of my life after throat radiation.
Folks...here it is: When you have to swallow a pill, lower your chin to your chest as far as possible. With the water and pill already in your mouth, swallow! It goes right down!
All the time the pills would get caught in the back of my throat could have been averted had I known this.
So, again, to the person that gave this tip, you are a literal lifesaver.

Thanks for this tip for swallowing pills.
Since my swallowing is getting worse by the day - I find that 1) have pill right at back of throat; 2) have some 'mushy' food in mouth; 3) tilt head backwards; and 4) take a forceful swallow. As for liquid and/or water - I tilt my head backwards, and this way ensure that liquid and/or water does not comes out through my nose.
(Of course, a few years back - I did not have any issues in swallowing - put this down to late effects of head and neck cancer radiation!).
