Any suggestions to help with blood bruising on arms?

I recently had a doctor’s visit and after reading the notes saw “solar purpura” referring to my arms. I was incensed! How dare he assume my bruises were from being 73 and in the sun all of my life! Before I called the doctor and responded to this rude comment I got to thinking. I’ve had these “ bruises” for the last year and nothing I have done has helped. I’ve suddenly realized that I may have been ignoring the fact that as the years have gone by my body has changed. I guess the really difficult part of maturing is accepting the changes. My mind thinks I’m still in my 40s but my body acts as if I’m 100. It’s time to reevaluate everything that I do. For instance, if I want a citrus tree in my yard I’d better buy a tree rather than plant a seed. You just have to find something that makes you laugh out loud every day. Got to go, I’m painting my front door bright red. Wish me luck I don’t fall off the step stool!

May I just say ~~~ I love your attitude, the saucy you! I am 83, still young at heart, am a fashionista, bruise quite easily, take a low dose aspirin due to a TIA in 2019. I have tried a ton of creams, lotions, gels with basically no change in how I bruise when bumping into things or scraping my skin/hand (which I did several months ago, lots of blood) Gently pushing the skin into place plus cleaning and bandaging help from my next door neighbor who is a certified ski patrol aide who treats tons of injuries on our ski mountain, left my hand scar free. If I am planning a special outing and my arms will be exposed I head straight for my tube of Westmore ~ a miracle worker. Take care, Happy New Year.
