I recently was diagnosed with MCI. Pretty scary… I have an appointment to get a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) at a hospital closer to my home. Just wondering; do any of you think it would be wise to postpone this procedure; and instead, have it done at Mayo at my first appointment there in a few weeks?

I would ask that question at Mayo. They might prefer to “do it their way” and do the follow up from their own testing. Good question.

Welcome, @kkel. I can understand how the diagnosis of MCI is scary.

What is your appointment at Mayo Clinic for? Is it related to the lumbar puncture or something else?
