Hi,

Yes, I have received new information but it is not good news. I had a new MRI scan done and they found a new tumor that they rated 5/5 on the PIRAD score this time. I had to wait for one month to talk to my doctor as he was away for an extended Christmas vacation. I talk with the doctor via phone tomorrow.

Joe

@joel I assume your MRI showed a PI RADS Score of 5 . Next , a 2nd Transperineal MRI Guided Biopsy . Get a 2nd or even a 3rd Opinion of your biopsy pathology results to confirm your Gleason Score . Then perhaps a Bone & CT Scan to check for metastasis .
For prostate confined , well differentiated tumors low & intermediate risk . A 5 course Mon-Wed-Fri and Mon -Wed the following week , Monotherapy SBRT is becoming a standart treatment . Consult with your Radiation Oncologist .
Have you read Dr. Patrick Walsh's book " Guide to Surviving Prostatee Cancer " A must read educational tool by the Worlds Leading Urologist on Prostate Cancer .
Good luck .
