Thank you for posting christine25. I am also 71, but my cancer had already spread prior to diagnosis. So surgery is not recommended, started ADT last September and the cancer has responded and my PSA is now very low. My wife is very supportive and cooks healthy meals every day, we also exercise every day. I agree that one’s mindset is so important.

Hello Johnernest. Thank you for sharing. They did not suggest salvage radiation to the pelvic bed as an additional treatment? My husband is treated in the Sylvester University of Miami hospital. We were happy to have gone through the radiation as well. There were no side effects at all and the doctor said that cancer cells in the radiated area are dead. With the ADT we are treating the cancer cells that have escaped to the rest of the body, trying to starve them and either be cured (they gave him a 70% chance) or extend life as much as possible. In USA they do 2 years of ADT. In Europe (where I am from) they do it for 3 years. You are going to beat it. Congrats for the both habits, food and exercise!
