I’m sorry you’re having your this problem but Dr. shopping is illegal and it makes you’re posting appear illegitimate. I am at a research institution, which is the most scrutinized of all medical facilities. They would never give anyone opioids that is not their patient. That is not the way opioids are dispensed and maybe why you are either addicted or having a problem getting medicine. I wish you luck for either your addiction or your pain.

Ok. I am not addicted for recreational purposes. I have throbbing and twitching calf muscles that can be excruciating and keep me from sleeping. I was prescribed Oxycodone after surgery but now they won't continue it with no explanation. I was only taking it at night to help me sleep otherwise I am up most of the night with getting 2 hours sleep. That is why I am looking for a Dr who understands that sometimes opioids are the only thing that can help. There was an article in the New York Times about chronic pain and how pain management is decades behind other areas in the medical field as far as research and how millions of people are in pain all the time because of this. I am one of them seeking some relief from chronic pain after surgery which only helped a little and left me with more pain.

Lorie, you seem to be part of the problem about discrimination against suffering Patients in the War against Pain Patients. Opioids have been used for pain for over 8,000 years until China and Mexico conspired to flood America with Fentanyl. Doctors do not prescribe Opioids because they will lose their license and go to jail. Research That...

Lori, you seem to be a part of the problem in the war being waged by the Medical Community. Opioids have been used for Pain for over 8,000 years effectively. It was only after China and Mexico conspired against America to flood the public with Fentanyl/Opioids that people began dying in Mass. People taking Opioids WITHOUT prescription are the problem and seem to be using to manage Mental Health Problems. Patients under prescription and monitored are Not the Problem. Today, doctors will lose the License and go to Jail for Prescribing a Pain patient Opioids. When a Physician prescribes 40 Patients an Opioid and Just ONE Patient abuses the system, that Doctor will suffer the consequences by losing their License and going to Jail. So today, it takes just one bad apple to affect the treatment of many Pain patients. Opioids have been used effectively for over 8,000 years. How many studies on the long term use of Opioids have been completed successfully? Research That...
