So freaking sick of life

Posted by account @account, Dec 30, 2024

I'm so sick of life? Who else feels this way? Like life is so useless, every day is the same, work, eat, sleep, repeat. I have nobody, I'm a bad person, I have no purpose. like why do we even live? I just hate it

@itchyd

I'm no saint and I haven't always acted morally (not proud of those incidences).
But, when I have acted responsibly and with kindness and benevolence, I've done so because I believe I know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad. I've never been motivated to act morally out of fear of divine retribution if I failed to. That's just not how I'm wired. I believe that most people have an innate sense of what is proper behavior.

I really enjoyed your words, Isadora. You've had some serious bumps in your road! Sorry for those and hope your life's a lot easier, now.
Take care ! 🌬🌈

@itchyd Not one of us is perfect! Some may like to think they are and that they’ve booked front seats in heaven. I hope they’re right and are not disappointed.

I’m not willing to own up to when I wasn’t the best version of myself 🤣 I’ve just tried to do better and forgiven myself and where possible to make amends.

To live and learn and move forward. That’s the best anyone can ask of themselves.

I am a retired research scientist. I've spent my time learning and applying that info. The more one learns, the more they realize how little they know. It is called the Dunning-Krueger effect. I believe in reincarnation; we are all recycled star dust from the Big Bang ~13.7 billion years ago. Is there heaven? That is a belief in which there is no concrete proof either way. What comes after? One can wax philosophical, but I hope that if heaven exists that they have dark chocolate there.

Yes, wise words.

Regarding facing one's foibles: I've given up on taking that long, hard look in the mirror ..... because when I do, it keeps cracking!
