Sudden onset of seizures in adult

Hi @1990mom
I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 48 (2019). I started with seizures when I was a teenager, but I did not know they were seizures because they were just auras and very smooth, lasting a few seconds. But with time, those seizures have evolved to complex partial ones and got worse. My mother has taken me to many doctors and nothing was diagnosed, living many decades with epilepsy without knowing it.
What caused my epilepsy was an accident I had when I was 5 years old. Epilepsy can take many years to manifest itself, being silent.
Did your son have an accident hitting his head? Car accidents with head trauma for example can lead to epilepsy.
I share here with you a link with the main causes of epilepsy:

If I were in your place, I would take your son to an epilepsy center (Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and others) to have an evaluation.
My best wishes to you and your son.
