Insomnia and Cancer
HI, my name is Lacey, I have been in remission since Jan. 2015 and I feel great except for sleeping issues. I was on
zolpiderm for at least a year and the insurance co. just denied the prescription any longer. Instead , they prescribed
Trazodone which does nothing . I haven't slept in 48 hours and I feel that no sleep is going to cause worse problems
The zolpiderm let me sleep 8-9 hours a night. Do you have any help for this problem? Thanks, Lacey

Hi, just curious if you can afford a higher premium that would be great, or join a discount program that can discount your prescription so that you can continue on your same drug that will be a good option, they also have a new website out for Prescription drug with pricing and which pharmacy has the the lowest prices, I don't know if you are familiar with the website or not. GoodRx.com. I hope this have been helpful!
Hi there, thanks for the input, but it's not about the premium, the insurance co. just won't
give out the script because it is a tier 4 price and too high even though it is a generic. I went
to Good Rx, ( Walgreens )they wanted $ 48.00 for 20 ,10mg. pills, I won't pay that kind of price , I'll lie awake each night until I pass out. Thanks my friend. Lacey
Hi Lacey, thanks for your response. I am a sorry for your pain. The sad thing is if you are on a low tier the doctors will prescribe a pill that will cover some symptoms of some of the disease but not all symptoms. All specialty drugs whether they are name brand or generics that fall under tier 4 or 5 concern your premiums you pay weekly or monthly, a lot of people don't know about the premium that affect the tiers that cover specialty drugs, that is the reason I ask about your premium. With a low premium you will fall under a 1-3 tier that want cover tier 4 or 5 generics or specialty name brand drugs, I learned that when I was diagnosis this year with MS, and I would have not gotten the treatment if I was paying a lower premium and being under a tier 1-3. I hope this information was helpful. Thanks Yulander
Hi Yulanda, I don't think I am in a special tier program, but I am going to look into that, if they want more
money each month, it would be worth it to me, I'll keep you upgraded. Sorry about your diagnosis, but never
give up, God will answer your prayers, all you have to do is ask him, I did. Lacey
TY Lacey for your prayer's, given up is not an option, amen!
Hey Gal, that's the right answer. Just want you to know, I got my meds from Walmart, way cheaper
than GoodRx. so, shop around and get the best price. Lacey
Good morning Lacey,
Did GoodRx not work for you? It might have changed, but good news, I actually use http://www.drugnetworkdicountnetwork.com This card was at my Dermatologists office. I have it saved to my phone. I checked this morning and at Walmart it will be $7.14.

I also saw some conversation about tiers. It seems Zolpidem is tier 4 on most plans. Also saw mentioned that is addictive. It is NOT addictive, but can be dependent. If you stop you would not have withdrawal, but would have trouble sleeping problems for a while. The diazepam, like Ativan and Valium are the ones that are addictive. The doctor treating my other disease is a Pulmonologist and Sleep Disorder doctor. Since I always use it right he has no problem giving it to me.

I hope this helps. Keep in touch.

@laneyk Elaine, Thanks for making the distinction between the words "addictive" and dependency." That is a good point. Seeing a pulmonologist and sleep disorder doctor sounds like a good thing in your situation.
So sorry, while looking to see if you had responded I noticed I put in the wrong link. The correct one is http://www.discountdrugnetwork.com

Elaine K.

Thanks for the new link, I'll give it a try. GoodRx was very expensive for the meds I wanted, but I was able to get it at Walmarts for a reasonable price. Thanks anyway. Lacey
