Is there any help at all for foot numbness in PN

Posted by wascaly @wascaly, Oct 27, 2024

I’ve had PN several years. I’m not diabetic (amazingly), and I don’t have pain in my feet - just this horrible numbness, mainly in my left foot (sometimes both feet), leading to the fear of falling, AGAIN!

I’m wondering if anyone has found ANYTHING to help. I’ve spent buckets of money on creams, plus I’ve seen all kinds of expensive gadgets advertised on TV. I’m hesitant to buy any of them, since they look like versions of snake oil.

Has anyone had ANY relief from this horrific and DANGEROUS numbness?

And will this also alleviate the numbness? Is it prescription medication or OTC?

Thanks!

I understand what is the cause of your neuropathy. Do you know yet? Has you had any improvement?

No med professional can tell me the cause of my neuropathy. I have my theory but cannot get a doctor to agree that it might be related to multiple spine surgeries I’ve had in the last 20 years.
Bottom line: it may not be connected to back surgeries, but it seems like a natural assumption since I never had PN until post-surgery.
I have a confession to make, however: I ordered the Noorco foot massager. I know I said I wasn’t going to fall for any of these gadgets, but all I can say is Noorco’s marketing techniques convinced me to give it a try.😱
If it really, really works, I’ll sing its praises.

I have had a Nooro for several months. Benefits seem overly exaggerated. However, it does help stimulate the feet and worth a try.

Lotion rubbed on and into the toes and adjoining foot nightly. I have found that to be the greatest help and the Neuropothy has not progressed.
