That sounds promising. Which brand worked for you? I may not be able to get it since I'm in the Philippines. I don't know yet. I find it complicated. I see some that say put it on in the middle of your back for your feet.

I've legs cramps all my life but now I'm getting these waves of crushing pain in my feet when I lay down. I wear compression socks must days but everything irritates my skin. Including the socks at the top of them. This new pain is much worse than anything I've had before. I'm not sure it's neuropathy. I fear it might be bad circulation. I don't know. I do have venous insufficiency.

I am just testing, to see if I get a notification when I reply to my comment. @stormheart

If you don't know what is causing your foot pain, figuring out what might help will be challenging. Lidocaine patches on the foot do work for many people with small fiber neuropathy, which is caused by damage to the localized sensory nerves. They can also help those with large fiber neuropathy, which damages the large nerves running from the spine through the extremities. I have both types of neuropathy, and lidocaine does not work for me. The good thing is you can buy them over the counter or online without a prescription, but maybe not in the Philippines. It sounds like you need a diagnosis, and I know that isn't easy to get unless it is something obvious.
