I started taking both the regular Native Path Collagen and the Bone Collagen last August after I was diagnosed with osteoporosis due to four years of steroid use due to Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I am now off steroids and am not taking any osteoporosis meds. I don't know if the collagen has helped or not as I haven't had a bone density scan since I started taking it. I take both daily and haven't had any problems with it.

We appear to be on a very similar path. I use both of those daily as well as taking a brisk 30 minute walk. I choose to not take any meds. It will be another year before insurance will pay for another Dexa scan so I really don’t know if there is improvement or not. I will find out in a year.

I take Native Path Collagen. I have been on inhaled steroids by mouth and by nose, twice a day, for 35+ years. Although my allergist claims they don’t contribute to osteoporosis, the literature begs to differ. I am going to try to reduce use by going on Singulair (Montelukast), but that is its own can of worms. Has anyone else dealt with this, I wonder, or have I wandered into a different forum.
