I have had a Course of 3 Injections of CELLUAR MATRIX intravenous injection..consisting of Steroid + Hyalaurnic + PRP Blood Platet combination..and knee pain is 70% better. Anyone had a better treatment, besides Stem Cells? Please

I have knee OA and have Monovisc injections every 9-12 months. I have received these injections for over ten years. I highly recommend this path since I do not wish to have knee replacements. I am an avid walker and these injections keep me 99% pain-free. My Ortho PA gives painless injections so I feel very fortunate.

Yes. I have had adverse reactions from many drugs and I have never had an adverse reaction with Monovisc. My good friend tried another off brand and did not have good results. Her ortho finally agreed to special order Monovisc and she has had wonderful results.

"Monovisc® is a single injection viscosupplement utilized to treat knee joint pain caused by osteoarthritis (OA). It is comprised of highly purified, partially cross-linked sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) in a phosphate buffered saline solution, and it is both biocompatible and resorbable."https://monovisc.ca/en/monovisc

I’ve been having injections for about 15 years. I’m a former “almost” lifelong runner and my knees are both bone on bone. The injections helped keep me running until 5 years ago. Thanks to new insurance (Medicare/United Healthcare) I’m seeing a new Orthopaedic Doctor at Mayo and he us really great. He’s given me two rounds of injections over the past 2 years which helps and is ready to replace me knees when I am. My hesitation is that I can still walk (not always pain free) and am very flexible from doing yoga. One of my knees locks up every now and then which is super painful but I can get by doing most things pretty well. I did give up tennis, pickle ball, and of course running oh and hiking except for flatter trails. I live alone still work full time and am super independent. Having the surgeries seems like a lot to take one and so I’m very overwhelmed. If it were only one knee, I’d have had it done years ago….Anyone have thoughts or advice. I’ve run this around Robin’s Red Barn about a million times….

I had knee injections which worked very well for 1 knee (Haven't had one in many years now), but the other knee they didn't work, so I had a partial knee replacement 7 months ago. Because it was my right knee, it was awhile before I could drive. (I had a complication of not being able to lift my leg even 1/4" off the ground, but electric stimulation once and PT helped that.) My pain is gone and I am an extremely flexible person, so even with the knee replacement I have great flexibility and range of motion. My other knee, now that this one is fixed, is MUCH better. I had laser treatments, 6, in first 2 weeks after surgery to promote healing and a computorized bike I used 5 times a day as per dr. It was connected to his office. I believe these things spurred healing. They were not covered by insurance, so optional, but I am very glad I did them.

I recently had the Hyaluronic with PRP for one of my knees.
I have some osteoarthritis, not bad. But painful enough I had to do something.
I won’t do corticosteroids as they can damage Bone Density I’d done too often. I can’t risk that with my borderline osteoporosis.
Hopefully it will help build a little cartilage or prevent loss of cartilage, ease the pain and avoid any surgery in the future.
