Can a dry orgasm after prostatectomy still be pleasurable?
Hi all,
I had my prostate removed and was told that my orgasm would be dry due to the removal of the seminal vesicles. Is it still pleasurable to have sex without that feeling of fullness when you are about to orgasm?

yes!
I had the same reaction 29 years ago after an RPA. The orgasm is different, but I learned to adjust. Over time we evolved from intercourse to using a vibrator to arrive at an orgasm. I have an American Medical Systems implant and can produce adequate orgasms through the use of the vibrator within the scope of intimacy. Good luck on your “new normal”.
I had radiation but have the same side effect and, after I finished with ADT and started getting horny, it was disconcerting to say the least and initially made me hesitant to even bother. But as my T keeps returning it feels like I'm going through a "second puberty" (body hair coming back, I have to shave again, get erections at inappropriate times, having sex dreams at night and, of course, being horny almost every day). At first I was asked if I "faked it" because there was nothing to show but that was my partner's insecurity and we've moved past it. Pelvic floor exercises will REALLY help improve orgasms. I've been doing them for a couple months now and notice a definite change for the better.

I always get a smile as your post are do entertaining with your wording. Were you a writer in your career?
It sound like you are doing so much better as your journey continues. I am glad to hear you are improving.
Thanks jc76! Yes, I'm a business writer by trade but also a blogger and do amateur stand-up comedy. I *HATE* performing but a lot of times I will write jokes for other comics when I know I'm not the right person for the job. For example, I did a routine about being a new mom which, of course, I had to give to a woman because it would make no sense for me to do it.
