Try a pain management specialist. Find a new doctor and see if he/she will refer you to one. They prescribe my meds for me and yes, meds do help take the edge off the pain. Your anxiety is coming from the issue of being in pain and not getting relief. I am on numerous pain medications, an anti -anxiety/depression medication, anti- inflammatory and anti-muscle spasm medication, B12, Magnesium and a GERD medication. I still suffer from the pain but not as severe.

My doctor said I had to choose. Either my anxiety med or my pain med. this was after CDC made changes in the pain pamphlet. I have an anxiety disorder. GAD. My doctor had been treating with low dose anxiety med. I now get anxiety so high my. blood pressure is high. Never had that. Pain is worst. How do you manage to get both for pain and anxiety?
