Anyone had Injections for Lnee osteoarthritis

I have had a Course of 3 Injections of CELLUAR MATRIX intravenous injection..consisting of Steroid + Hyalaurnic + PRP Blood Platet combination..and knee pain is 70% better. Anyone had a better treatment, besides Stem Cells? Please

I had two injections; one was cortisone and the other was a gel. Both were extremely painful for me. Enough so that I couldn't even consider another. I'm wondering if anyone else found this to be true? Maybe it's just the doctor who administered it?

My doctor used ultrasound to administer the hyaluronic acid correctly. He did a great job of numbing me and I felt nothing

I had a cortisone injection in my knee years ago and it was incredibly painful. I never had another.

My first 2 CELLUAR MATRIX injections were a breeze..no pain at all..did not even feel it. My third and final injection was a bit painful when doctor administered it...but when by the time I walked out of the Clinic AFTER..no pain. This is ny experience.

I had gel injected - hylauronic - and it did nothing. It hurt. Physical therapy and orthotics to improve my gait have been most helpful.

I had gel injections in my knees a few years ago. They were moderately painful and worked well for six months or so, but then wore off. Eventually I had TKRs on both knees.

I had PRP, but unfortunately it did absolutely nothing. My doctor told me he doesn’t do Hyaluronic injections because they don’t work, and my 2nd doctor doesn’t either. They both said if I want to get back to living life, I will need a knee replacement. It’s scheduled for 2/05, but I can’t help being afraid of the whole process.

I had cortisone shots in my knees for several years and it was helpful for about 5 years. Then tried PRP which did nothing. Since then have had both knees replaced. One went very smoothly (tho the rehab not fun for about 6 weeks) and the other got infected. Had to have it removed and then redone several months later after infection gone. Good news is that altho that was a difficult time, me knees are great now, can walk all I want. Only complaint is I can’t kneel down. My advise is that if you have any concerns after surgery, insist that you be heard or change doctors.

I have knee OA and have Monovisc injections every 9-12 months. I have received these injections for over ten years. I highly recommend this path since I do not wish to have knee replacements. I am an avid walker and these injections keep me 99% pain-free. My Ortho PA gives painless injections so I feel very fortunate.
