Harry, count yourself lucky that you have the opportunity to use an opioid. NSAIDs will give you Kidney Damage, Gabapentin is dangerous drug with side effect, Physical Therapy made my CRPS worse and I am unable to use Physical Therapy until my Chronic Insomnia Is under control, all topicals do nothing for me as I could soak my feet in a 5 gallon bucket of lidocaine with no help, Tramadol was no better than Tylenol, Capsaicin burns, Cymbalta has helped a little and LiveHealth.com has helped immeasurably through their LCSW Psychologist Sylvia Bowen for the last 8 years. Medical Marijuana is not available in Indiana so I rely on my experience with meditation, cognitive therapy, visualization, breathing and Prayer. I was abandoned 8 years ago by the Medical Community because of my CRPS Type 2 and I have been forced to suffer daily. I have only 60 mg of Cymbalta, 1 mg of Valium and 10 mg of lisinopril for high blood pressure. Trust yourself on what works for you as medications affect every Patient differently. Good Luck and my Prayers are with ALL Pain Patients.

Hemp CBD is legal in all states. If you decide to try it for some pain reduction, buy a well-known brand that has third party certification. It’s relaxing and helps with anxiety some also.
