@kforrest

I recently had an ultrasound done and the uterus lining is thick so I am seeing an obgyn my primary care dr recommends. will then have a biopsy done at the hospital. I am 76 and the lining should be very thin. googling I found some information about hormone progestin being a treatment med for endometrial hyperplasia.

@kforrest I am sorry to hear about this. Are you having any bleeding or UTI Symptoms? Feeling like I had a UTI was my initial symptom which followed with heaving bleeding. I pray your biopsy does not turn out to be cancer. My sister was having the UTI symptoms and was concerned after my cancer diagnosis so went to her GYN to get checked out. She also has the thickening of her uterus but her biopsy came back negative for cancer thank God. Hopefully yours will be the same with no cancer. I wish the Drs. Would be more proactive with this issue. I had never even heard of it until I ended up with cancer. I’m afraid most Drs. are more reactive than preventive in these issues. It should be required that our Estrogen and progesterone levels are checked as we age. Instead at 65 they say you don’t need a Pap smear anymore. Strange! Praying for you that you may have a good outcome. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
