Have you been tested for Lpa? I see you are pre-diabetic with A1C of 5.9. I would try low fat whole food plant based diet. Carbs aren't bad - refined carbs are. I got my A1c rom 6.0 to 4.8 on this way of eating. My CAC was 312. Started on Repatha shots (can't do statins). I had the cleerly test (Cornary CT scan which uses AI) which showed 80 percent blockage in LAD and 70 in RCA.

Holy cow @rochelle369 did they do something about those blockages.

I haven’t been tested for Lpa yet. That along with several other tests have been recommended on this forum, so I’m going to ask for some more lab work from my doctor. I’m not sure why they don’t automatically check it when the CAC score is high.

As for my diet, I have always eaten healthfully by following the 80/20ish rule. I guess the 20 has not worked to my advantage. I have now gone to a whole foods based low fat, low carb diet. My doctor said to eat lots of lean protein at every meal which is difficult for me to do. You mentioned you eat a whole food plant based diet. Are you vegetarian or vegan, or do you eat some meat?

Also curious to know what they did for the blockages.
