My husband had his RARP at MAYO in Phoenix. His surgeon was/is Dr. Cheney. He was amazing! Our experience there was so much better than we anticipated. My husband is doing very well. Surgery was this past June (7 months ago. No incontinence and he is working on impotence. He does not regret his decision at all. His Gleason 4+3=7 was upgraded to a 4+5=9 once they dissected his prostate after surgery. Another good reason to have surgery if you are a good candidate as there are no doubts on grade of cancer. Best of luck to you!

Oh and if you would like to talk to him about his experience he would be happy to help. I think the more you hear from those who have gone before you the better you may feel about your decision!
