What are people's experiences with spinal fusion surgery?

@dwill2152 Welcome to Connect. I'm sorry you are fused with misalignment. There probably are excellent surgeons who could fix that such as surgeons who do big deformity surgeries for scoliosis. My surgeon at Mayo, Jeremy Fogelson, is a deformity expert. Would you want to pursue a big spine surgery to fix this? Do you think the misalignment could cause other problems?

My surgeon says he hasn't my case to a forum of surgeons who specialize in spinal deformity. He may be one of them. I am 73. Not sure I want such an extensive surgery. I am in pain and leaning forward.
