@fab5
I am a jr. and my family chose to nickname me Jody (hince the initial on my I.D.).
I had no weight problem until I started having medical and some pyschological issues. Now don't be afraid of that statement I am talking about axiety and stress and PTSD.
Weight then started as I think I started eating more of comfort foods other that eating food when hungry. I did try nutrisystem and did lose weight each time (50-60 lbs twice). It does work but as you can see if don't change life style will come back.
I am a avid exercersier execrising 6 days a week. So not that I am not physcially active. What I have learned now into my late 70s is you metabolism slows down. You lose muscle (which requires more calories than fat), and you tent to eat differently.
I tried WEGOVY (all dosage levels) nd actually gaine weight on it. WEGOVY will probably not have me as a model. My PCP says I am one of those that will not respond to their formula but wants to now try EPOUND. Having problems with insurance on that one.
I know I can lose weight but not at the rate I want. I need to stop snacking in between meals especially at night which is worse time to do so. That fasting from dinner to breakfast is very important to losing weight I am told by my PCP
So I am still searching for the answer like you are. I am 50 lbs overweight now. Back in June of 2023 I was under 190 lbs. I contracted COVID (for first time after all shots and boosters) that went into sinus infectino and then to a serious bronchial infection. Took 3 months to get over it with antibiotics and steriods. Eate every snack and icecream I could find to help my extreme sore throat and feel better. Then still took me another 2 months to get back to feeling to exercise at level I was before.
I am now tring to reduce the snacking in between meals and find ones I like that are low calorie. I upped my exercise a little more and this last week I did lose a pound. So for me maybe I have to live with small reduction in weight over time and not expect the big losses I used to.
Good luck on your journey!
