Forteo side effects of fatigue and mild confusion
I have been taking Forteo almost a month.
I have been extremely tired. Also have experienced some confusion. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same effects and if it went away after a time?

One week on tymlos. Fatigue is my most annoying side effect. I am taking the med in the evening and drinking lots of water. Hopefully my body will adjust. 8 years ago I took Forteo with no side effects

1 ReactionI took windyshores advice and take mine in the morning after hydrating with electrolytes. I then get up and move or go for a walk. I’ve had no problems. You may try this??

2 ReactionsFor me, I’m not lying there thinking about how it’s affecting me. I get moving and get my mind off of it. In fact, if I just sit down for awhile I feel worse. Bottom line try both and see what works best for “you.” But definitely hydrate. Another reason I do it in the morning-I don’t want to be up peeing!

4 ReactionsYou are correct, when up doing things I feel better. When I lye down I feel the fatigue more especially in my eyes, a heaviness. I will be meeting with a new MD at Mayo with fatigue my major issue.
I started on teriparatide 5 days ago after 4 months of Tymlos with a break of 2 months in between. So far, I am having fewer side effects than Tymlos. My heart rate increases 10% for about 30 minutes then goes back down.
I took into account the recommendation here of being active after the shot and hydrating adequately. I also changed my injection time to the morning after finding a study that showed better results from injecting in the morning instead of the evening.
Hoping everything continues as it has as I get further into the treatment plan. I used to get bone pain (sharp, electric “zaps” in my extremities) on Tymlos so I am curious to see if the same happens on teriparatide.

2 ReactionsI have been on forteo for two months. Definitely feel listless, lack of energy. I usually take dose in am. I am going to try to switch to pm as when I wake up in the am I have lots of energy before taking my forteo dose. My blood pressure does fluctuate. However the lowest at the doctor's has been 115. I also have hypertension and take blood pressure meds.
